3c905B-TX: receive errors.

Hi,

I'm having a problem with a 3c905B-TX card.

It has seems to have a lot of receive packet errors. Looking at
/proc/net/dev shows an error rate of about 1.2% to 1.6% errors on the
receive side.

This doesn't cause rpoblems for most services, eg telnet, ftp, www, etc.
But NFS serving and X window service is dreadfuly slow, client machines
keep getting "NFS server not responding" errors on volumes server by
this PC.

Various options to insmod don't work, eg overriding auto media select
and bus mastering. I've also tried the 0.99G driver. No joy either.

This problem is specific to this card. Other cards like the DE500 and
3c595-tx work perfectly,

I've read back over the vortex and vortex-bug mailing lists and noticed
similar problems, but I didn't come across a solution.

Is it a card to be avoided, (i've heard since i bought it that it causes
problems in windows aswell) and will there be a workaround in newer
drivers?

Thanks,
