Running Cyclone 3com, driver .99E for the following:

Not using a module, i need to pass the paramater to 'force' full duplex
from lilo. Reading the ethernet how-to, the lilo how-to, and the
documentation on the vortex www site

	http://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/drivers/vortex.html which
states:

- --------------------
When loaded as a module the following variables may be set:
 name type description
debug int The debug message level, 0 (no messages) to 6 (wordy).
options int[] The media type override and card operation settings
..
        16 Full-duplex bit
                16 10baseT full-duplex
                20 100baseTx full-duplex
..
- --------------------

to get the right paramaters to force full duplex (100 baseT as well), i
figured the following would do it:

append="ether=20"

But it doesn't appear to do the trick. Running the 'vortex-diag' prgram
it reports half-duplex is still set no matter what (and my ether switch
shows errors if i force to full duplex mode at the switch and reboot the
nic card computer, so the card is definately still in half duplex 100 base
T).

Anyone know how to (not using a module) force this thing into full duplex
100 base T?

Vortex-Diag output:
