[Beowulf] PLCC84, FPGA compute array.

Please define "basic compute functions" and please specify the capabilities of the FPGAs.
Is there a specific ACTEL product?  One could make an array of microprocessors with
specialized capabilities, where each FPGA is a microprocessor.  On the other hand, if
more than one FPGA is used for a basic function, then the design gets complicated.
E.g. dealing with the carry bit between devices when adding.
