Apache 2.4 introduced some interesting changes
1) syntax for certain directives has changed
2) all the vhost files and others need to have .conf appended to them otherwise apache wont work.

Final, final email for the night. This is fixed (Apache 2.4 doesn't like the
old syntax but doesn't complain). Archives are visible again.
