Ps.  Have you done the obvious things like disabling hyperthreading
(yes I know there is a religious war just waiting to break out there...)
plus checking turboboost is enabled in the BIOS?


Yes, I know - grannies and egg sucking instructions. But it is surprising how easy it is to overlook things like this.
