As many of you know, ClusterWorld Magazine ceased publication in June of
this year. While this action was unexpected by myself and many of
the columnists, given the publishers situation it was quite
understandable. During its run, I did receive quite a lot of positive
feedback about ClusterWorld and how it was helping to fill a hole in the
community.

While there will not be another ClusterWorld, some of the columnists
(Robert Brown, Jeff Layton, Jeff Squyres, and Dan Stanzione) and myself
felt the need to continue in some capacity. While we did not believe
another print magazine was economically possible, we decided that a web
based community site was worth pursuing. To this end, we would like to
announce Cluster Monkey (http://www.clustermonkey.net)

Our goal is to provide cluster "how to" information, reviews, and
commentary. We will be recycling some of the ClusterWorld content for
those who have not had a chance to read it (or found it too difficult to
get get back issues). There will also be new content, reviews, and other
features as the site evolves.

I also wanted to make sure everyone understood that
this site is for/by the community and you are welcome to participate
(http://www.clustermonkey.net//content/view/18/35/) You may even get paid
for your work! There are no guarantees as the site is currently
run on a volunteer basis. We have set a up sponsorship plans (hint, hint)
but, our primary goal is to help grow the cluster community.

Enough talk, take a look, let us know what you think.

Thanks,

Doug Eadline
