Every message has a list URI at the bottom which one can visit to
completely and totally control list access.  Perhaps the footer needs to
be made more clear with a "To quit this list:" prepended to the URI,
although that's not all that can be done there.

It is a bit strange that there are so many people who don't actually
read the footer (or keep or read the mail they should have gotten when
they joined the list and should still get once a month or so), though...
