[vortex] vortex log errors, need help!

I'm getting my logs flooded.  I haven't noticed any network problems at
all, just these messages.  I don't know anything about registers, but I
do know that my log is filling up with the following and I hope someone
can point me in the right direction, thanks!   This box is connected in
the following manner
 
Internet ----> Cayman DSL Router with built in 4 port 10mb hub ------>
Linux box + Cisco 1600 ------> my workstation
