Whenever I boot my Dell OptiPlex GXa 333 server I get this:

eth0: 3Com 3c905 Boomerang 100baseTx at 0xdc80, ***INVALID CHECKSUM 003e*** 00:c0:4f:7a:ee:9b, IRQ 14
  8K word-wide RAM 3:5 Rx:Tx split, autoselect/NWay Autonegotiation interface.
MII transceiver found at address 24, status 7869.
Enabling bus-master transmits and whole-frame receives.

What is the INVALID CHECKSUM error listed there?
The card seems to work fine...

Also, how can I configure this card (force it to 10BaseT)?

Donald's ftp/webserver seems to be down, I cannot look at his pages :-(

[..] Unfortunately, since the TCP and IP protocols were not designed by a
committee, all these header fields serve some useful purpose and it's
not possible to simply omit some in the name of efficiency.
