Hi

I've built 2.2.19 under RedHat 7.0 in order to pick
up the development that went on end of last year to
support this variant of the card, and can now
successfully 'ifconfig up' the card.
However the first packet that goes in or out (e.g.
ping from another machine) sends things wild, I get
floods of syslog messages (20 or 30 a second):

'kernel: eth0: Too much work in interrupt, status 8003
kernel: eth0: Host error, FIFO diagnostic register
0000
 last message repeated 20 times'

Sometimes the diagnostic register has consistently
been 8000, this may correspond to when I swapped the
card for a spare AND used a different PCI slot.

Motherboard is i430TX based.

Anyone any ideas ? Help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Ian
