[vortex-bug] strange network behavior with

im not sure if this is a bug, but whenever a network connection times out, i
get a weird "diagnostics" mesage that just repeats forever.  it looks
something this:

i have a 3C905C and im using whatever driver came with redhat 7.1 (tornado i
believe).
