I have a 3Com 3c905c Tornado network card.
I am unable to find a driver for that.
My problem is that I am not able to ping to the
network.
It gives me an error that there are unresolved symbols
in my 3c90x.o when i try using a depmod.
Also when i do a insmod i get the error that the
version of kernel for which my driver is compiled is
2.2.15 while my kernel is 2.2.17 onwhich I have
compiled the driver.I am using a debian flavour of
Linux.
If I use a ifconfig it shows RX packets=0 while TX has
some finite +ve value.
When I used a diagnostic tool by MII it gave results:
Basic Registers of MII PHY#1 : 0000 0020 0000 0000
01e0 0021 0000 0000
Basic mode control register 0x0000:Auto-negotiation
Disabled.
Basic Mode Status Register 0x0020 ... 0020
Link status: not established
Your Link partner is generating 10BaseT link beat (no
autonegation)

also i tried one more thing.
I changed the IP of my Linux machine to that of my
windows machine.
It immediately showed a clash on my windows machine.

Please guide me...
bye,
Kunal
