3C905B and DHCP problem in Redhat 6.1 on Dell Optiplex GX1

Hi,
I've been trying to configure a Redhat 6.1 box (Dell Optiplex GX1 with 128
Mbyte RAM) with a 3C905B adapter with DHCP. There is no way I can make it
work. It just issues a broadcast to find the DHCP server but it never gets
an IP address.
Kernel is 2.2.12, but I also tried 2.2.14 with the same results.
A fellow colleage is running Redhat 6.1 with a 3C905 adapter and is having
no problem getting the address from the DHCP server.
On the same machine giving problems, I have an NT Server SP 5 partition and
the NIC just works fine on that side. According to NT, it is getting IRQ 11,
I/O Address DC00-DC7F, memory address FF000000-FF00007F.
I downloaded the latest version of the driver from cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov but
to no avail.
Frankly I don't know if it is a problem of IRQ conflict (but it should give
a symptom somewhere and it doesn't) or what, and I don't know what to do
next and how to solve it.
Does anyone have any idea how I could solve it ?
Help would be very much appreciated since I have been stuck here for some
time.
