Hi,

I have a P133, with a 3c590 and AHA2940, and am running Kernel 2.0.36 with

3c59x.c:v0.99E 5/12/98 Donald Becker
http://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/drivers/vortex.html
eth0: 3Com 3c590 Vortex 10Mbps at 0x6100, 00:a0:24:b5:e3:ab, IRQ 10
  8K byte-wide RAM 1:1 Rx:Tx split, autoselect/NWay Autonegotiation
interface.
eth0: Overriding PCI latency timer (CFLT) setting of 32, new value is 248.

Every so often after a random time period of uptime and unknown network
load at the time the board hangs and spews out one of these:

eth0: Transmit error, Tx status register 90.

followed by buckets of these

 eth0: transmit timed out, tx_status 00 status e000.

I have to down the card and up it again, so can I
	a) get a new version of the driver to fix this, if so which
version...
	b) get annoyed because this is truly unfixable
	c) not unfixable but not fixed so wait ...

the reason I mention the AHA SCSI card is that other people seem to blaim
these without saying why or without confirmation from Donald ...

Thanks,
	Dave.
