The kernel shipped with RedHat 5.1 is a 2.0.34 pre-release
kernel which contains an older version of the driver that
does not work properly with the 3c905B. RedHat has released
a 2.0.34 final kernel set, which is available via FTP from
ftp.redhat.com, in their 'updates' section. The new kernel
should work for you.
