[tulip] media type verification

I'm trying to force a 10baseT HALF Duplex setting, and
need to know how to verify the setting I'm getting.

ifconfig shows a variable called txqueuelen and the
value is 100. is that what I'm looking for?

I've tried all the media types I can think of (0,9,12)
and none make a change to that or any other value that
I can tell.
