hi!

in an earlier posting i just saw that i am not the only
one who has problems with the Accton EN2242 miniPCI fast
ethernet adapter under linux.

on october 6th Andre Belem wrote in his posting that
the ethernet adapter he is using is a CardBus - i guess
that he is wrong as i have the same laptop.
this laptop (GERICOM SUPERSONIC2) has an onboard ethernet
adapter (and that has nothing to do with CardBus or am i
wrong?)

never the less i am experiencing the same problem. the
strange thing is that the adapter works _sometimes_.
the only thing i found out was that after a warm reboot
from windows the adapter is assigned IRQ=10. when the
laptop was turned off before i boot linux the adapter
gets IRQ=0 and doesnt work.

the real problem now is that sometimes even if the adapter
has IRQ 10 assigned it doesnt work correctly - i get a
"transmit timed out" and the tulip-diag says "Interrupt
sources are pending! CSR5 is fc66c810."

the full output of tulip-diag -a -f is added below.

btw: i use linux 2.4.12 with the tulip driver compiled in:

Linux Tulip driver version 0.9.15-pre7 (Oct 2, 2001)
  eth0: ADMtek Comet rev 17 at 0xcf800c00, 00:90:96:16:79:A1, IRQ 10.

most certainly this is not a problem ouf the tulip-driver
but a more general problem (BIOS,ACPI,...)

TIA
 Michael
