[tulip] Limited success with Netgear FA310TX problem

I have tried the following options 100baseTx, 100baseTx-FD, 10baseT,
10baseT-FD all to no avail. I did notice however, that unless I needed to
power down my switch each time I changed options on the tulip driver. When I
first discovered this, I thought I has solved it. This however, still didn't
fix the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm seriously considering
just buying a new NIC.

Thanks

Hi Paul --

Congrats that you got it working in some form. Given that we've narrowed it
down to some sort of initialization, I would imagine the answer may lie in
trying different options to the driver (in particular half/full duplex).
You
had mentioned that you were looking into different tulip options -- did you
have a chance to try that? If that led nowhere, perhaps there is something
in
the code itself that needs to be hacked... but that would be where my
experience with the driver pretty much ends. :)
