  Hi.

Im using the latest Makefile, tulip.c/pci-scan.c and include files from the
scyld ftp site to build the driver on a Digital PC164LX Alpha and Debian 2.2
and make outputs the following error:

gcc -DMODULE -D__KERNEL__ -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O6 -I/usr/src/linux/include -c -o pci-scan.o pci-scan.c
In file included from /usr/src/linux/include/asm/semaphore.h:11,
                 from /usr/src/linux/include/linux/sched.h:17,
                 from /usr/src/linux/include/linux/mm.h:4,
                 from pci-scan.c:55:
/usr/src/linux/include/asm/current.h:4: global register variable follows a function definition
/usr/src/linux/include/asm/current.h:4: warning: call-clobbered register used for global register variable
make: *** [pci-scan.o] Error 1

This happens with 2.2.14 sources as well as 2.2.16, is there some fix or work-
around to this? I'd be glad to test.

   José
