First,

Sorry for the confirm post to this board.

Next,

I have a smc ez cardbus 10/100 ethernet card
and am having trouble getting it to work.

   My setup:

      1) sony vaio 505fx notebook
      2) linux mandrake kernel v2.2.9
      3) built/installed netdriver 2.0
      4) built/installed pcmcia 3.1.15
      5) info from /etc/pcmcia/config:
            1) device "tulip"
               class "network" module "cb_enabler",
                                      "pci-scan",
                                      "cb_shim",
                                      "tulip"
            2) card "SMC EZ 10/100 Fast Ethernet"
               manfid 0x01bf, 0x2220
               bind "tulip"
            3) card "SMC EZ 10/100 Fast Ethernet"
               manfid 0x01bf, 0x2225
               bind "tulip"
      6) when i plug the card into the pc (dongle
is plugged into a smc hub (port 1) with no other
ports in use), two high beeps are heard and
the utilization 40+ % and collision leds
come on and stay on constant. the hub
port 1 led starts flashing very fast and
         does not stop flashing.
      7) lsmod shows:
            tulip, cb_shim, pci-scan, cb_enabler
      8) the following is my dmesg output:

cs: cb_alloc(bus 32): vendor 0x1011, device 0x0019

   Can someone help me please.

I bought the card last week and have just
1 more week before I can return it w/refund.

   Thanks.
