you said "Earlier versions of the tulip driver didn't support this
new/crappy version of the FA310TX". i compiled the latest, v0.90 tulip
driver, what does kernel to do with it? sorry if this is a dumb
question. besides, not being able to get on the net makes upgrading a
challenge.
