Digital DS21143 is killing me!

I have similar problems with an ALLNET 8832 but on mine I get nothing to
work.
the driver deteckts the card and while in boot progress and when the day
is 
nice and warm :-) I get 2 or 3 ping out of this card and thats it.

But when I try to use UTP it's even worth the HUB lights for one second
and then the
link is gone.

If you find out somthing that can help I would appreciate to hear from
you
