Hello.

I've bought a macronix card sold by CNet. Here's a extract of the pci detection:

bus slot vendId devId baseAddr0 cmd description
--- ---- ------ ------ ---------- ------ -----------
 00 09 0x10d9 0x0531 0x0000e401 0x0087 MACRONIX:ethernet controller

Since the tulip driver says it detects and can use this card, I thought I could use it. But here's
what's going on: as soon as the module (as I compiled the driver as module) one hub indicates that
the card begins to emmit some packets very quickly, and by using another hub, it indicates there's
no connexion on the port. And the linux kernel begins to send messages saying there were timeouts
problems, and that it was resetting the device...

By looking around, I've seen that other people had the same problem, without finding a solution. So I
wrote to you to know if there's a solution or a workaround.

By advance, thank you.

Nicolas NOBLE.
