Any processor with the Intel P6 core has a peak FP performance [1] of one FP
operation per cycle, which would mean a 400 MHz Pentium II has a peak FP
performance of 400 Mflops.

[1] "Peak performance" should be read as "the performance you are guaranteed
never to achieve."
