2.2.9, system map

I didnt notice this "problem" untill i installed RH6.0, and i dont
know if it's RedHat related or kernel related (my guess is RH).
I just replaced /boot/system.map with /usr/src/linux/system.map and
after that my systems have worked fine(I used kernel 2.2.7). So untill
someone smarter then me tells uss why its behaving as it does, this is
how i made it work.
