I'm looking at the datasheet for the TMS320C6201 now. It mentions that
it's a VLIW thing with eight functional units. Is the TMS320C32 also
VLIW? What kind of VLIW support exists in egcs today?

Does anyone know what the relationship between VLIW and Merced's EPIC
is? Good EPIC support in gcc will be absolutely essential for Beowulfs
in 2001.

A well designed system must take people into account. . . . It's hard to
build a system that provides strong authentication on top of systems that
can be penetrated by knowing someone's mother's maiden name. -- Schneier
