I have located some interesting information on the 21264. Here's the jist
of it.

Compaq is currently taking orders for 21264 upgrades for AlphaServer 8X00
systems. It looks like currently the board upgrade is going to run you
about $90,000. I can't locate the price on it, but the AlphaServer
8400 6/575 (which answers the MHz question) is 21264 based.

Here are the results of some benchmarks from the previously mentioned
page:

     AlphaServer 8400 6/575 30.3 SPECint95
     Nearest competitor: HP K580 17.4 SPECint95
     * SPECfp95 (1 CPU) is 67 percent faster

     AlphaServer 8400 6/575 47.7 SPECfp95
     Nearest competitor: HP K580 28.5 SPECfp95
     * SPECfp95 (SMP) is 71 percent faster

     AlphaServer 8400 6/575 114 SPECfp95 with 8 CPUs
     Nearest competitor: SGI's Origin2000 66.4 SPECfp95 with 8 CPUs

Another little tidbit, according to Digital, the 21264 should "break the
GigaHertz (1000MHz) speed barrier" by the year 2000:

   The third-generation Alpha 21264 family will deliver up to five times
   the highest performance of any architecture available now and in the
   near future. Performance will begin at an estimated 40 SPECint95 and
   60 SPECfp95 and will reach more than 100 SPECint95 and 150 SPECfp95,
   and operate at more than 1000 MHz by the year 2000.
