OK -- I hadn't gotten any mail from the list in some months, and test
messages I sent earlier had not got back to me.  So I'd been spreading
rumors that the list was nonfunctional.

I'm glad to see that's not the case.

I don't do .INI, .BAT, .DLL or .SYS files. I don't assign apps to files. I 
don't configure peripherals or networks before using them. I have a computer
