RAID controller question...

This may be a little off-topic, but here goes. I got a good deal on an
external array of 5x2GB differential SCSI-3 drives for my cluster. It
came with a simple differential SCSI-3 PCI card. This would be fine if
I was just running LINUX or had no need for data striping, but I want to
be able to boot more than one OS on it configured RAID-5. Thus, I need
a controller with hardware-level RAID support. I've found two models
which I think will work, but can't find pricing on either and am not
sure if LINUX drivers exist for each. The controllers are:
Adaptec AEC-4412BD
AMI MegaRAID® Ultra2/5 (Series 438)
These may not be in my price range, first of all, but I won't know this
until I find prices. I also don't know how differential SCSI-3 differs
from low voltage differential Ultra2 SCSI. I don't know if low voltage
differential is the same as differential. I'm assuming that Ultra2 SCSI
is more recent than SCSI-3, but haven't found anything to verify that
assertion... Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
