[realtek] insmod io/irq error on rtl8139.o

Hello, all:
I am trying to get my network card set up correctly under Red Hat Linux 7.2.
I've compiled pci-scan.c and rtl8139.c.
insmod pci-scan.o worked, however,
insmod rtl8139.o produces the following message:
rtl8139.o: init_module: No such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters
Can anyone offer suggestions on how to check these parameters?
