You seem to not have kernel headers installed. Install the kernel headers
for the kernel version you are compiling for. It may just be easier to
install ther kernel source.

  Subject: [realtek] rt18139

I am trying to install a Genius device with the rt18139.c source code
(using the how to of the site: www.scyld.com/expert/modules.html)
  When I execute the command gcc -DMODULE -D_KERNEL_ -O6 -c rt18139.c, I
get the message "modversions.h not found".
The instructions say to delete '-DMODVERSIONS' from the command used to
compile the driver module.
But I am not using DMODVERSIONS of the compile command. Please, help me.
What is wrong?
I am using Debian with 2.2.17 kernel.

And I also tried to install by the floppy disk, that come with the device,
but it is not working, either. The command /trans don't generate the
rt18139.o, that expected to do

  Hope you can help,

  'Tks a lot
  Silvia Carvalho / Brasil
