Hello everybody!

I've been working for days now on the problem of having my RealTek
8139 Network card running under Linux.
I read (I hope, everything) at the drivers homepage www.scyld.com, but
still I have a problem:

I use Kernel 2.4.2 for now and compiled the pci-scan.c to pci-scan.o
without any errormessages. install and insmod of pci-scan without any
warnings/errors. Then I compiled rtl8139.c also without problems.

But when I try to do insmod or modprobe, I get the following
errormessages:

rtl8139.c: v1.15 8/1/2001 Donald Becker, becker@scyld.com
http://www.scyld.com/network/rtl8139.html
Failed to map PCI address 0xd800 for device 'RealTek RTL8139 Fast
Ethernet'
/lib/modules/2.4.2/kernel/drivers/net/rtl8139.o: init_module: No such
device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters,
including invalid IO or IRQ parameters
/lib/modules/2.4.2/kernel/drivers/net/rtl8139.o: insmod
/lib/modules/2.4.2/kernel/drivers/net/rtl8139.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.2/kernel/drivers/net/rtl8139.o: insmod rtl8139 failed

Please, has anyone an idea and can help me, what to do? I am using
Win98 on another partition on my PC and there the network is
accessible with this card.

Thank you very much!
