[realtek] Cant ping gateway

<html><DIV>I am running a Debian potato 2.2.19 box with a Dlink DFE-530TX+ Rev D1 card in it. This box has a static real ip address and is connected to a Liknsys 10/100 swith with two other computers connected to it and the cable modem. I compiled the driver suplied on the disk and it loads with no problems. I can ping the other two machines that reside on my local network and use ftp, but whenever I ping the gateway I get 100% packet loss.</DIV>

<DIV>I do not think it is a routeing problem because I threw a 3Com 905 card in that box and loaded the appropriate module and used the same ifconfig settings and it worked fine I could ping the gateway resolv hostnames etc.</DIV>
