Hallo,

on our Beowulf-Cluster we received the following messages:

Mar 7 17:00:20 vbtbeo27 kernel: eth0: RTL8139 Interrupt line blocked,
status 4.
Mar 7 17:04:20 vbtbeo27 kernel: eth0: RTL8139 Interrupt line blocked,
status 4.
Mar 7 17:11:20 vbtbeo27 kernel: eth0: RTL8139 Interrupt line blocked,
status 4.
Mar 7 17:12:20 vbtbeo27 kernel: eth0: RTL8139 Interrupt line blocked,
status 4.
Mar 7 17:16:20 vbtbeo27 kernel: eth0: RTL8139 Interrupt line blocked,
status 4.
Mar 7 17:16:20 vbtbeo27 kernel: eth0: SMP simultaneous entry of an
interrupt handler.

Any explanation want this means and what can i do to change it ?

I've looked in the source and got no idea what is going on 'cause i'm not
familiar with
C-Programming and network drivers.

We received the error if we run parallel programms with mpich. The cluster
is going
to slow down and we have to reboot (sometimes 2 or 3 clients, sometimes the
whole
cluster)

Any ideas ?

Sincerly

Wolfgang Paulat
