Ideally I would think that you should copy pci-scan.o and rtl8139.o into
/lib/modules/{kernel-version}/net, and then run

	depmod -a
	modprobe rtl8139

modprobe is much smarter than insmod, and can figure out for you exactly
what you need.  In this case, modprobe should auto-load pci-scan.o when
you request rtl8139 be loaded.
