Hello list,

I've got this new Compaq Presario 1700XL470 sitting on my desk.
I currently try to get everything up.

SuSE 7.0 installed and X11 works fine as it seems.
Now I'm trying to install the NIC. Acording to CPQ's hotline it
should be a Intel Pro 10/100.
Other people told me it was a Intel EtherPro 100 but has a Dec-Chip
from Conexant which formerly was some other company and I needed
drivers from Intel or Tulip.

SuSEs support pages referred to scyld and now I'm here to find
enlightenment.

Could someone here help me sort out this mess ?
