Just to close this off, I originally bought a dual port card because I thought I
had some reserved IRQ issue with the second PCI slot. In actual fact, I've
popped out and bought a second $30 Realtek card and I'm now happily ADSLing away
with one card in each slot. Now I just have to dispose of a $500 white elephant
card... :-(

I would like to publically thank Donald Becker for his first rate technical
support on this matter.
