v0.36 works but v0.99c doesn't

   BTW, I got the following yesterday on rufus.w3.org using a standard
2.0.35 SMP kernel:

Nov 22 21:51:52 rufus kernel: eth0: Transmit timed out: status 0090 command 0000.

  Basically the driver got stuck (first time for 4 months !).
  And since the driver wasn't compiled as a module, I had to reboot,
I upgraded to 2.0.36 + the 1.05 driver as a module. I have been running this
SMP combination on 3 other machines for a few days without problems until now.
