Intel EtherExpress on Compaq Computer

Dear all,

I'm trying to install Linux RedHat 5.1 on a brand new Compaq EN computer
with embeded Intel EtherExpress NIC. The NIC is working except when I have
to transfer lot of data across the network. Suppose I do a
telnet, it's ok.
If I run a remote application with more than a few bytes to transfert, it
freeze. Same with ftp or rcp. Seems there is something with some
buffers or something like that.

Any idea?

Thanks a lot in advance.
Brgds, Philippe
