<br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;"><span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">The Latin‐American Conference on High Performance Computing</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;"><span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">(CLCAR) is an event for students, teachers and researchers in the</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">
<span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">areas of High Performance Computing, High Throughput Computing,</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;"><span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">Parallel and Distributed Systems, E‐science and applications. Its</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">
<span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">first edition has taken place in Colombia in 2007, and since then</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;"><span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">CLCAR has gathered scientists from the whole world, with special</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">
<span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">attention to Latin American research.</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;"><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;"><span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">The community is welcome to submit research papers, written in</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">
<span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">English. The papers should be submitted in PDF following the IEEE</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;"><span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">guidelines (see the styleguides on the Web site for more de‐</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">
<span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">tails). Two kinds of submission are accepted: Full papers, which</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;"><span style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">must not exceed 8 double column pages, and short papers, not ex‐</span><br style="font-family: courier new,monospace;">
