hah! it's been a running joke (if not much of one) in kernel circles
for a decade whether there were any 386 SMPs produced, and how many
of them were still running.
I shed a tear for the 386 about as much as I think it's a shame
no one supports Linux on the 286. after all, who needs more than 64k?
