Hello All! Puting it bluntly, Beowulf just refers to the type of equipment used, that is, commodity hardware and usually, Free OpenSource Software! Beowulfs can impersonate a great many type of cluster types, from HA, HPC, Grid, and so on :) If you want a jerkier way of putting this, consider Beowulf a 'Trademark'!
