Bioinformatics people thoughty they were all C/C++/Perl -- new field,
none of that legacy stuff, nosir, we're all modern here.

Then they started doing molecular dynamics. And started buying Fortran
compilers. It was funny. Now there are MD packages not in Fortran, but
enough of them wanted to use the Fortran ones...

My corner of astrophysics (numerical hydrodynamics) is mostly Fortran.
