Hello! I was looking at our NFS server performance recently and was puzzled by the number of the daemons it was running - 33. It might be the default for Suse 10.1 but I am not sure. It's usually recommended to set the number to a multiple of 8 with 32 being perhaps the most popular. I've read that 16 or 32 nfsd daemons produces the most efficient blocking for I/O operations. How many NFS daemons people are using on a dedicated NFS server? Best, Igor I.
