done that, the result, my hynix 2G FBDIMMs ate just above 10W a piece at idle 
and not much more at full load. This server had 16 DIMM slots so that was 
>165W for the memory... The CPUs were 2x 80W tdp which in reality is no where 
near 80W. So in the end, more power went to the DIMMs then the CPUs.
