I had the same issue with Maxtor SATA disks and 3ware 9550SX RAID card but finally our vendor contacted Maxtor and 3ware and installed a new firmware for the drives and since than they are working OK. > After *finally* convincing our vendor it was Maxtor (we've had > problems w/ them before this as well) they shipped us a batch of > Seagates, and it's been operational now for quite some time.
