Weeellll...
I have had experience with HDAMA boards, installed what I believe is the
first Opteron cluster in the UK, which used HDAMA boards.
I worked on getting lm_sensors working on them, but found as you describe.
I suggest getting the BMC management cards, then you could do IPMI based
monitoring. I seem to recall though that you would have to order these
at build time,
as the sockets for BMC card are not necessarily soldered onto the
motherrboard, ie there may just be a patch with solder tags on it.
I could be very wrong here.
