Comparative advertising was in fact forbidden in several European countries, but in 1997 the European Parliament decided in directive 97/55/EC to allow such advertising, although with strict rules. For Germany this became a law in 2000, I expect the other countries of the European Union to have done the same since 1997. So you are free to compare the real facts. And I would be very interested in that.
