Now that Sun has "opened" solaris 10, and since they are making the Sun Fire V40z servers, with up to 4 dual-core opteron servers, I was wandering if it would be worth trying it in our IWill H8501 8-way dual core server (better NUMA support, Sun's compiler set, DTrace...). Does anybody know what the hardware on the Sun Fire V40z is, and if it is similar enough to IWill's to be supported by the same drivers? Thanks!
