Electrical codes don't allow paralleling conductors to increase the current handling capacity for small circuits like yours. It looks like you'll have to try an idea like Jim's and use a staggered startup or install a new 30A circuit. If you look around Brooklyn you'll see lots of this done on the outside of homes in order to run large window A/C's. -Bari
